Installation

Look at the system requirements (below), and the license. Then head on to the Download section. Community Support is available via forums.

Choose ONE of the following download/install methods:

1. Using setuptools (easiest): if you have setuptools installed on your machine,
   • From a console window, do easy_install -Z pypubsub
   • If for whatever reason this doesn’t work, you could try downloading the appropriate source or egg distribution from SourceForge.net. Then do easy_install -Z <downloaded_file>
2. Installer (Windows only):
   • Download and run the Installer (PyPubSub-xxx.win32.exe) from SourceForge.net.
3. Manually:
   • Download the appropriate source distribution from SourceForge.net
   • From a console window, do python setup.py install
4. Using subversion client:
   • svn co https://pubsub.svn.sourceforge.net/svnroot/pubsub pubsub

The forums are currently hosted on google groups:

System Requirements

Only Python >= 2.4! The development team has only tested PubSub on Windows XP. Let us know if you have use it successfully on another Operating System.
